Designed for a young couple in a new home with a budget of only £7,000, this garden provides a relaxing chill out space in which to entertain, with consideration given to sustainability and the garden’s carbon footprint.

A change of level creates a semi-sunken area that doubles as seating. The main structures are made from reclaimed scaffold boards and split logs. A chimney and sculpture provide focal points. The planting of mixed shrubs and perennials is designed for summer impact, with three multi-stem trees providing height, screening and dappled shade. The colour palette of sulphur yellow and deep blue creates a contemporary feel.
