The Swiss Alpine Garden
Switzerland’s mountain lakes, streams and rocky mountain peaks have inspired the design of this garden, along with the clear, clean beauty of the Swiss landscape. Water and rock features, suggestive of mountainsides, form the central elements of the space, together with planting characteristic of the Swiss alpine environment, promoting Switzerland as a genuinely beautiful summer destination.
A Swiss chalet building creates a backdrop to one side of the garden and provides an area for visitors to meet representatives from Switzerland Tourism. Key themes for the garden are the concept of wellbeing, nature and Switzerland Tourism's 2012 'Year of Water'.
