Work, Rest and Play
Work, Rest and Play, created by Milestone Academy, is a show feature that has been designed as an outdoor environment for people with disabilities. The feature encourages everyone to get involved and enjoy the outdoors.
The feature has three areas;
- the Wildlife Area: with perennials, planted borders a pond and feeding stations
- the Education Centre: a cedar-clad garden room flanked by two outdoor theatres with seating. Senses are engaged through elements of music, coloured lights and flat screens for viewing wildlife footage.
- the Allotment: colourful timber raised beds displaying a selection of vegetables. This represents allotments tended by students working at the Milestone Academy.
