The Harkness exhibit demonstrates the value of roses in modern gardens where space is limited. The display highlights the effectiveness of small-scale drifts of cultivars, planted in groups. It shows how to get maximum effect, while being economical with both plants and space. Also, the display aims to familiarise consumers with recently introduced low-maintenance varieties, and these are shown as arrangements of cut-stems.
