Specialises in: The Romance of the Masked Ball: floral arrangement
Inspiration came from research into famous couples and great lovers from history and fiction. This led to Romeo and Juliet and the Capulet masked ball where Romeo fell in love with Juliet. The history of the masked ball is closely associated with the Venice Carnival, and Venice is considered to be one of the world’s most romantic cities. This display recreates the feel of the masked ball. Two large central masks appear to be romancing each other around a ballroom floor made of natural bark. Other masks, representing dancers, surround them. All the masks are custom-made and are decorated with roses, other flowers, foliage, natural materials and decorative accessories using a range of floristry techniques. Flower-filled candelabras, fans and bags complete this vibrant scene.
