The Writhlington School Orchid Project has been pioneering conservation enterprise through the laboratory propagation of orchid species for twenty years. The project is working with conservation partners in the Himalayas, South East Asia, South Africa and Central America. At the show a display of orchid species, all grown at the school, is arranged by tropical continent to illustrate the diverse habitats students have explored as part of their conservation work and to relate the culture of these species to their natural environment. Look out for amazing displays of the orchids of tropical Asia, tropical Americas and tropical Africa, supported by the latest news on Writhlington’s work in rural Laos.
