2012 show highlights
Giant pumpkin competition
For the first time, pumpkin fans can saw giant specimens from the RHS Heaviest Pumpkin Competition, where professional and amateur growers alike competed, with Stuart Paton's 327kg (721.4lb) monster winning the top prize of £1,000.
Growing crops for all
This is not an Allotment! by Pennard Plants was an innovative feature garden for Grow Your Own enthusiasts and city dwellers alike, exploring numerous ways of growing crops.
Visitors got expert advice on apple identification, as well as apple-tasting sessions and the chance to join in the Foraging Forum, to get advice from seasoned foragers on gathering food in the wild.
