Orchids galore & exquisite botanical art
Join us Friday 11 April and Saturday 12 April for this show, which in the Lawrence Hall features a spectacular array of exotic orchids from specialist growers and plant hunters from around the world, while in the Lindley Hall is a display of unseen work from some of the world’s best botanical artists. Learn about the extraordinary history of orchids, wonder at their unique beauty and buy some highly collectible and new species.

There are talks on orchid culture in the Lawrence Hall, plus potting demonstrations organised by the Orchid Society of Great Britain. (Download a full list of orchid talks (306kB pdf). A British Orchid Council judging symposium on Saturday in the conference centre includes a talk by Bill Thoms, an orchid grower from Florida, and this will be open to all those who are interested. Joint show and Bill Thoms lecture tickets are available to purchase.
We are pleased to announce that a drumming trio from Taiko Meantime will be beating out their traditional Japanese rhythms and techniques and their eclectic, original compositions. A spicy supper will also be available to purchase and our bar will be open. So bring your dancing shoes and enjoy an evening of vibrant Eastern entertainment!
