This design is a living sculpture, to be viewed from four sides.

The flickering leaves of aspen soar gracefully above waves of barley, making the wind visible as it catches the feathery tips. Underneath the trees and surrounded by the barley sit three oak cubes, each one solid, strong and with a quiet stillness that is unmoved by the elements. The three surfaces each have a different reflective quality, one sawn, one polished and one containing a reflective pool. As the shadows play across them, they exaggerate the difference between stillness and movement, making almost tangible the indiscernible space between them.
