The garden uses a map of Manchester and MCFC as inspiration. The club colours are used in the planting scheme whilst the club badge influences the structural elements within the garden that represent the Manchester ship canal and rivers in the city.

The garden is designed as a fun social space, which combines traditional cottage garden planting with contemporary styling and sculpture. The variation in height, colour and foliage of the planting shows the diverse nature of the club’s fan base. The clipped topiary adds year-round interest and is based on the flight of a football from free kick to goal.

The rear wall of the garden not only provides a boundary but doubles as a sculptural piece showing a timeline showing the achievements of MCFC.
