This garden highlights some of the finest and most graceful early flowering ornamental grasses, in the setting of a large oval border planted with complementary herbaceous perennials. At one end the border is under the dappled shade of four Betula nigra, while at the other it is in full sun, allowing the grasses to sway freely in the breeze of an open border.

“Grace” emerges from an avenue of Calmagrostis x acutiflora ‘Karl Foerster’, as if about to step onto the cobbled path to join you. A simple curved bench, made from elm from Blue Bell Cottage's own managed woodland, offers the time to sit and enjoy the scene.
