The main features of the garden are the two dramatic timber walls that reduce in height to create an illusion of depth as they guide the eye to a sculpture in the distant borrowed landscape. The perspective is further reinforced by the large foliage of the planting in the foreground and smaller foliage to the rear.

The boundaries either side of the garden illustrate the beauty and simplicity of wood, while young purple-leaved trees sit on top of a mounded lawn in a pure, undulating landscape. The wild flower meadow, a haven for butterflies, is a riot of colour; other key plants are in hues of burgundy and gold to complement the timber.
