The garden is themed around the Manchester United football
club. Its many features represent and celebrate the past history
and success of the club but also reflect the modern and
contemporary way that the club promotes itself today.

The three main structural features – the raised centre circle with its sweeping terraced flower bed, the football wall and the Perspex screen –
create a feel of the Old Trafford football stadium, home to
Manchester United.

The three stoneware stars embedded at the front of the garden represent the three European cups won by the club while the number 19 signifies the number of domestic league titles won. All the materials used in the creation of the garden have been sourced locally to ensure the garden has a low carbon footprint.
