This year’s show was blooming with new features alongside the perennial favourites of striking gardens and spectacular floral displays.

New for 2012 were gardens reflecting the instrumental sections of an orchestra, innovative schools competitions such as colourful Fruit and Vegetable Trugs and Front-to-Front gardens, and three young designers battling it out in the finals to be crowned 'RHS National Young Designer of the Year 2012'.

Launched in 1998 at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park was created to establish a sister show to Chelsea and Hampton of national importance but located in the North West of the UK.
