Primary & Secondary Schools Fruit & Vegetable Trug Competition
Schools from around the North West in conjunction with the RHS Summer Fruit & Vegetable Competition had been busy growing to fill their trugs at this new competition. The children’s efforts were judged by RHS fruit and vegetables judges but the criteria focused on the best produced healthy vegetables. An exciting display of the trugs featured in the Fruit & Vegetable Pavilion.
School Front to Front Gardens
The popular feature run by the Winsford Education Partnership and sponsored by Barclays returned, seeing school children from the North West creating their very own 3m x 3m gardens. There were 28 at the Show and themes in the melting pot were 1950s/60s children’s television programmes or country gardens.
