Fruit and veg extravaganza

The RHS Summer Fruit & Vegetable Competition Pavilion hosted a Grow Your Own feast.

Fans of Growing Your Own were spoilt in the RHS Summer Fruit & Vegetable Competition Pavilion.

The Pavilion housed the best of Grow Your Own along with specialist fruit and herb exhibitors. It's always worth a conversation with the people manning the stands - they have an amazing storehouse of practical growing knowledge that can help you with your own fruit and veg growing, whatever you may chose to grow this coming season.

There was also a new competition - primary and secondary schools from around the North West had been growing to fill their fruit and vegetable trugs at this new competition, run in conjunction with the RHS Summer Fruit & Vegetable Competition.

And for fantastic fruit and veg, the Association of Manchester Allotments show feature was close by. They were back with an outside feature called ‘World of Growing’, highlighting the growing of multi-national plants to introduce visitors to diverse growing, and introduce children to growing via an interactive area.
