Canada
Canada’s natural landscape is awe-inspiring. This garden reflects the juxtaposition of urban and natural, the built environment and the wilderness.
It is a conceptual design for a modern home backing on to a woodland area, with woodland and paths meeting a formal patio at a natural spring. Native materials have been used and a wooden bridge connects directly with the paths through the woods. The constructed landscape includes precast concrete pavement and walls, and wood structures and steps. The natural landscape includes trees, shrubs, groundcover, stepping stones, boulders, stone and gravel. Water erupting from the ground is
directed along a stone and gravel outwash to end in the garden.
