At first glance this appears to be a traditional garden with a bench and raised beds. The plants are generally familiar and provide sensory prompts beneficial to memory loss sufferers. Like any garden, it is designed to offer enjoyment and opportunities for gardeners to enjoy the many benefits of their hobby. Whilst enjoying its beauty, gardeners and non-gardeners are playfully encouraged to observe resident and visiting birds.

However, the revolutionary aspect of the garden is Instaplanta’s system of transferable planting baskets. These slot in to the raised beds and can be lifted out, transported and tended indoors if necessary, providing opportunities for gardening to all residents of the care home and in all weathers.
