This garden combines Japanese and Western landscape gardening styles. The stone wall represents Mount Fuji. The water feature in the centre depicts the open sea and the design on the surface of the stone paving resembles a world map. These two elements form the shape of a heart, symbolising love and representing global friendship, peace and human happiness. The bright flowering plants and turf are characteristic of modern gardens in Japan, and the planting scheme includes various species of native Japanese shrubs and plants.
