Ring the Changes celebrates the coming together of Bridge College (a specialist education college for students between the ages of 16 to 25 with disabilities, complex needs and autism) and The Manchester College, in a joint venture that will create new state-of-the-art facilities at a shared campus in East Manchester from September 2012. Bridge College is operated by the charity the Together Trust.
The creation of this garden provides an opportunity for students from both colleges to meet and work together for the first time. Central to the design are two connecting rings that symbolise the partnership that Bridge College and The Manchester College are entering. The area around the two rings represents common ground in which the students and staff at the new Bridge College site can meet, work and rest.
