The design acknowledges the role of wind and water power in the milling industry with the introduction of metal wind sculptures and a central circular weir. Bands of dry stone walls spread out from the weir like ripples in a mill pond. The walls act as a foil for the naturalistic planting that flows around the structures.
The design promotes quality British materials and traditional craftsmanship.
