This display features a selection of hardy roscoeas, Himalayan primulas, attractive dwarf astilbes and the feathery foliage of Aruncus aethusifolius, alongside the wonderful foliage of the Japanese woodland Saxifraga fortunei cultivars, including 'Mount Nachi', and the unusual S. 'Primulaize Salmon’. Early autumn-flowering gentian forms including G. ‘Balmoral’ and G. ‘Braemar’ with glorious blue flowers are also featured, alongside late summer flowering Cyananthus, small growing campanulas, long-lasting Thalictrum kiusianum, a range of dwarf hostas and slow-growing willows, dwarf rowans and other slow-growing miniature shrubs.
