Late spring variety at the April RHS London Flower Show

Both the Lawrence and the Lindley halls in Westminster were filled with a variety of plants from all over the globe as The RHS staged its April show. As well as the floral exhibitors there were a number of plant competitions including those for the Daffodil Society, Tulip Society and the Alpine Garden Society. This was the biggest London show of the year so far and all those who attended in their hundreds certainly enjoyed the spectacle that awaited them.

The standard of exhibits was so high that the judges awarded 10 gold medals. These ranged from a wonderful display of fuchsias from White Veil, Southern hemisphere plants from Trevena Cross Nurseries, tree peonies from Kelways and auriculas from W & S Lockyer to name but a few.

With some of the rare and exotic plants on display this was a show not to be missed.
