RHS April London Flower Show
Report & images: Tim Sandall
The April London Flower Show which filled both the Lawrence and the Lindley Halls in Westminster contained just about everything a keen gardener could wish for. As well as the usual high class nursery exhibits containing plants from around the globe, visitors could enjoy the daffiodill competition, camellia competition, alpine plant competition as well as floral art exhibits and cut flowers.
The colour and smells of the show gave a real boost to the gardening year and also displayed some plants that had never been seen before. One of the high lights of the show had to be a display of Lathyrus vernus displayed by Matthewman Sweet Peas which contained many plants never exhibited before. The quality of the show was so high that the judges awarded an impressive 12 Gold medals.
