RHS January London Flower Show

A real flavour of spring was captured in the Lawrence Hall at Westminster. With exhibits from around the country including cut flowers from Tresco, this was a great start to the show calendar.

We were treated to winter colour from trees and shrubs as well as an array of colourful early-flowering spring bulbs. Ashwood Nurseries was awarded a Gold Medal for its display of hellebores, as was Choice Landscapes for its conifers. P W Plants also received a Gold for its eye-catching exhibit of hardy bamboos.

	Galanthus 'Reverend Hailstone' is a new snowdrop from Harveys Garden Plants of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. It is a selection from Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire
	Lilium 'Sumatra' exhibited by Wilford Bulb Company is part of a collection from which part of the proceeds will go to the Tsunami Disaster Fund
