RHS March London Flower Show
13-14 March 2007

Theme: Mediterranean plants

Show report & images: Tim Sandall

The show was bursting with colour from spring-flowering bulbs and other plants, creating a horticultural haven. There were also the hot colours of the Mediterranean, as some specialist growers brought a taste of summer holidays to our chilly spring climate.

The scent of spring filled the air in a small part of Westminster as the RHS staged its March London Flower Show. Thirty exhibitors from all over the country converged on the Lawrance Hall and delighted visitors with a dazzling display of spring's finest plants and flowers. As well as the usual floral exhibits, Peter Seabrook form The Sun newspaper staged a garden to celebrate his 30 years as gardening editor with the paper.

The judges awarded four Gold Medals to the floral exhibits and the show also contained an impressive Camellia Competition.

It made a nice change to see a garden staged at the Horticultural Halls - The Sun Pallet Crate Garden staged by Peter Seabrook.
