RHS London November Flower Show
Fitting finale
This week the Lawrence hall in Westminster staged the last RHS London Flower show of the year.
A host of exhibiters from around the country made the journey to London to stage a variety of displays which ranged from tropical plants, ferns and perennials to cut flowers. As well as the usual high quality nursery displays there was an excellent competition of Botanical Art, and the Ornamental plant competition proved very popular attracting many exhibitors which contained some rare and more unusual exhibits.
Although late in the season the quality of exhibits did not disappoint and the judges awarded four Gold Medals. These went to: Burncoose Nurseries from Cornwall for an exhibit of trees, shrubs and other ornamental plants; Fibrex Nurseries from Warwickshire for its display of hederas; PW Plants from Norfolk were awarded a Gold for its display of bamboos and other ornamental plants; Trevena Cross Nurseries, who also made the journey from Cornwall, were rewarded with a Gold for a display of ferns.
The relaxed atmosphere and stunning displays brought a fitting end to the Society's show calendar for 2003.
