Wisley is undoubtedly one of the great gardens of the world. Its huge plant collection is also diverse, with a comprehensive fruit-growing collection, alpines, vegetables, bulbs as well as herbaceous and woody plants.

Wisley events

Wisley is hosting two special events in the next two months. Photograher Sue Bishop will be giving a flower photography talk, 14 March, 2.30pm, and BBC TV's Toby Buckland will be signing copies of his new book on 3 April, 2pm.

Sue Bishop will advise on the best techniques for creating perfect pictures of your favourite plants and flowers at her talk, which will be followed by a Q&A session and an opportunity to buy signed copies of her new book Colour, Light and Composition. Tickets, £8 each, available on 01483 479753.

Toby Buckland will be signing copies of his new book The Gardeners' World Practical Gardening Handbook in the Gift Shop. Entrance is free.
