Buy new plants launched at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the traditional place where nurseries launch their new plants for the year, and this Chelsea is no different! What caught our eye this year were three gorgeous new roses from David Austin and a clematis from Raymond Evison.
We have very limited numbers of these new releases, and suggest you ring us now to reserve yours.
Rosa 'Young Lycidas' is a classic old rose. The flowers are quite large and deeply cupped even when fully open; the many petals arranged in a charming although rather informal way. £15.95 in a 6 litre pot.
Rosa 'Sir John Betjeman' is a rose of more modern character than most other English Roses. The flowers start as small buds, opening to full petalled, wide rosettes of bright, deep pink. £15.95 in a 6litre pot.
Rosa 'Wisley 2008' is a replacement for the first variety named 'Wisley' which has not lived up to expectations. The flowers are shallowly cupped and medium sized, about 6 to 7.5cm (2 to 3in) across, the petals arranged in a most beautiful rosette. £15.95 in a 6 litre pot.
Clematis 'Rebecca' is a stunning colour, being almost scarlet-red with a velvety texture off-set by a twirl of light chocolate brown anthers. The dramatic red flowers will bloom freely down its stem and is ideal for growing with other wall trained trees or shrubs or in a container for the patio. £14.95 for a 3 litre pot on 60cm trellis or £30 for a 6 litre pot on 60cm trellis.
