2008 RHS Britain in Bloom Winner: Town

 

Forres received a Gold Award and the RHS Britain in Bloom Young People's Award

 

Forres always endeavour to improve and develop and encourage all ages to get involved to make the town attractive and produce an environment which will attract people to live and work there. Forres can be really proud of its sustained efforts in recent years, which have led to the many examples of excellence demonstrated in this year’s entry. The involvement of children and young people and the wonderful support given to these age groups by the community, the teachers in Forres all gave the judges evidence that Forres was developing a genuinely sustainable community.
