Solihull received a Silver Gilt Award

The Borough of Solihull, representing the Heart of England in this year’s national finals, has embraced the competition to improve the environment for both residents and visitors. The entire community is encouraged to take part and support by tending to their gardens, becoming involved in conservation projects and identifying areas which need improvements for a variety of reasons including litter, weeds or graffiti. The rich diversity of the area, coupled with a vibrant and attractive shopping area, has been enhanced and built upon by involvement in the Bloom campaign. The council has made huge inroads in engaging with the local community and is a worthy recipient of a Silver Gilt Medal.
