2007 RHS Britain in Bloom Winner: Coastal

Cleethorpes 2007

Community is very much at the heart of Cleethorpes' Britain in Bloom bid. Consultation has been the key and the ‘in Bloom’ team acts on the feedback. The team is aiming for a sustainable and long-lasting impact and to that end is working with North East Lincolnshire’s environmental services team to ensure the floral beds and the general street scene looks better than ever.

The Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education has, for the third year, planted a bed in line with the ‘Bloomin’ Wild’ theme; others taking part include schools, allotment holders, local businesses and the Grimsby Telegraph. The ‘in Bloom’ team is also working with the Council's award-winning recycling team.
