This garden is an interactive outdoor gallery space. Inspired by the power, impact and message that visual imagery, in particular black and white photography, can portray, the garden allows for internal contemplation, but also invites social space as well.
The use of circular and radial design creates a distinctive gallery enclosure, with intimate viewing spaces within. The beautiful and subtle mosaic slate floor emphasises the perfect geometry and proportions of space, while casually leading the eye to the striking black and white images, which are complemented by the combinations of dark slate, white glass and reflective steel.
Providing a focal point, is a seductive water feature and structural and tonal planting adds unity and natural beauty to this modern garden.
Black, white and sparkling silver tones shimmer together in the selective planting palette. A deliberately placed splash of orange adds an intense poignancy to the experience. Planting includes bamboos, shrubs and perennials.
