Influenced by Romanesque temples, this symmetrical design also incorporates stylistic planting and modern art. Vertical glass art panels, in neutral tones, represent statues on stone pillars.

The garden is designed to be a clear, calm space where water is a strong element. A still, shallow rill of dark water reflects the glass panels and planting to create depth and mystery.

Shade is given to the back of the garden by the purple leaved Prunus cerasifera ’Nigra’.

Taking her inspiration from a holiday in Italy, Sue Adcock designed the garden to be complete on its own or to form part of a larger urban landscaped scheme.
