The City Garden
Designer: Joe McHugh
Designed for a roof garden, plants are contained in rectangular containers arranged to suggest a cityscape. The planting plan exploits the height and position of plants to create a miniaturised urban landscape. Blocks of colour, with carpeting alpines and succulents, underline the geometry of the containers. Yuccas, aloes, agaves and grasses soften the hard edges.
