This garden has been used as an educational opportunity for the children at Sheddingdean Primary School to learn about their environment, recycling and the heritage of the school.
With the school logo providing inspiration, year 6 children were invited to design a garden as a competition and six finalists worked together to create the final design.
The garden is based on the school logo in design and colour, in shades of green, brown and white. The mosaic in the centre is made by the children. Grasses of all sizes are abundant and old and recycled materials have been used where possible.
A nature area provides habitat for birds and insects and a miniature wooden house is used as a compost bin.
