Press Day
Once the hard work is done, the glamour of Press Day can begin. Gardens are finally opened, celebrities arrive and the world’s media are unleashed on Chelsea 2006.
Paul Daniels:
“I cannot in all honesty see a rose being named after me. Maybe the lovely Debbie McGee!”
Pete Postlethwaite:
“Well, it’s things like that, just back there that’s just caught my eye, that garden there it’s just incredible.”
[Martin Clunes: “Yes you are bossy aren’t you!”]
Carol Vorderman: “ I absolutely adore our voluptuous naked lady! She is just great.”
[Alan Titchmarsh: “Look at me when I’m talking to you! Fab. Thank you very much.”]
2006 is the year of the Queen’s eightieth birthday, as the patron of the Royal Horticultural Society the Chelsea Flower Show has always had a special place in her heart. Here she takes time to enjoy the show surrounded by her family.
