Water restrictions and hosepipe bans

The Thames Water hosepipe ban is for domestic use only and the RHS is not legally obliged to follow it. However, as the RHS actively supports water-wise gardening we are implementing a voluntary hosepipe ban at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The show will use extracted, non-drinkable, water for irrigating the gardens and floral displays. The RHS is working with consultants who can best advise about sourcing extracted water - be it coming in via tankers, or from a bore hole. The RHS is also meeting with Thames Water to discuss the options and seek further advice.
Measures for other RHS flower shows are under review as we continue to monitor the situation.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an open ground, temporary site with temporary facilities.
