"Chelsea is all about the promise, the unknown, the unexpected - and I haven’t been disappointed. There are so many rare and unusual plants here, despite the weather difficulties. The weather affects everyone, you can’t escape that. Hardy plants especially are liable to have their highs and lows. Your heart skips a beat with a cold spell and your heart skips a beat with a hot spell.

"Any exhibitor of merit will have moments of outright panic, but you’ve got that wonderful, collective spirit of endeavour, you dig deep and you come through. Everyone has a story of how they nearly didn’t make it; those moments become a part of the history of Chelsea.

"There are wonderful things here. I walked past the gardens this year, they are better than ever, there are very green exhibits, and they’ve used all the shades of green to perfection. I love some of those gardens. You really won’t be disappointed this year.”
