Dianthus Sugar Plum = 'WP08 Ianthe' (Scent First Series)

New for 2008., we’ve got a new variety called Sugar Plum. Sugar Plum is absolutely beautiful. It has a lovely maroon, cherry centre, which bleeds into the softer pink outside ending up with a lovely pale edge to the beautiful frilly flower. It’s beautifully perfumed, and has nice chocolate buds, which I think are very attractive, particularly as you’re waiting for it to come into flower. The chocolate buds give the plant a lovely brown hue and then suddenly you’re rewarded with all these gorgeous flowers here.
