This beginners' course will give you the skills and knowledge to plan your own beautiful naturalistic borders using grasses and perennials; many of these plants attract wildlife, bring movement and light into the garden and provide interesting winter structure and texture. You will learn to appreciate different plant forms, colour and textures. This style of planting provides interest from summer to the end of winter with bulbs helping to fill seasonal gaps. The content takes inspiration from current trends and iconic designers, Piet Oudolf and Dan Pearson. The day will include a practical session during which you will enjoy learning how to plan a simple border on paper using different media.
