At the end of a dirt track is a secret haven where the family escape after a hectic week. The garden is entered from the woodland via a boardwalk spanning the wildlife pond. The calming green and white colour scheme sets the overall tone of the garden.
To reflect Volvo’s commitment to the environment, where possible the materials used are from environmentally-friendly and sustainable sources. The summerhouse is built from cob, a soil and straw-based material that has been used for thousands of years. The deck and boardwalk are made entirely from reclaimed timber, and the fence panels are woven from Somerset willow.
The plants are integral to the garden, and have been chosen to represent the kind of fringe woodland clearing that could be found in any temperate climate.
