At the centre of the garden is a shallow round pool edged with stone sets which spiral down to form the side wall and outer base of the pool. In the centre of the pond is a tree stump which, in places, sits slightly above the water supported by its roots. Water emerges gently from the top of the stump and collects in a shallow bowl carved into the top of the trunk.
Around another pool are various cheerfully-coloured perennials of a range of pastel and primary colours including Aster, Geranium, Delphinium, Hosta, Euphorbia, Lobelia, Aquilegia, Penstemon and Verbena. This forms a floral bowl with the pool at its centre. At the rear of the garden is a natural stone wall supporting clematis and climbing roses. In the rear corners are two silver birches.
The design is intended to convey a natural look contrasting with the bright colours of the planting against the tranquil aura of the water feature and overall design. Somewhere to relax and well described as a ‘pretty’ garden.
