This is a natural but contemporary water garden. It aims to capture the atmosphere of a vast open water landscape and bring this feeling of solitude, pureness, harmony and infinity into the four walls of an urban garden or into the courtyard of a modern office complex.
The
garden has been inspired by holidays to West Cork and Kerry with their beautiful
water landscapes and islands covered with lush green vegetation. Within the
flooded garden, five islands sit planted with miniature perennials, rare and
unusual alpines, small gracious bamboos, mosses and large bonsai trees, and
a reed bed channel hosts several species of reed. The garden is made accessible
by a stepping-stone path barely above the water line to give the impression
of walking on water. Green dominates in many different shades.
