NCCPG Plant Heritage Marquee
Sponsored by the Royal Horticultural Society
The NCCPG Plant Heritage marquee provides a wonderful opportunity for gardeners to see a selection of the 'living plant libraries' - our National Plant Collections®.
The main feature of the marquee takes its cue from the major Growing Heritage conference held in April 2006 which examined the effect restrictions on plant imports could have on our gardens in the future. Two gardens in the NCCPG Plant Heritage Marquee, titled What if…, will illustrate a garden from 1750 and one from the present day to demonstrate the influence plant hunters have had on our gardens today.
By sponsoring the NCCPG Plant Heritage marquee, the RHS continues to support the conservation of our horticultural heritage.
