This garden demonstrates conifers at their best. The designer has chosen conifers to demonstrate the full use they have, whether they be low growing, dwarf and slow growing, medium growing or the large specimen trees that can be used as backdrops within any garden. Correct pruning demonstrates how conifers can be kept neighbour-friendly. At least 10 varieties of Cedrus will be planted in the garden from slow growing to the larger variety demonstrating that even small areas can accommodate a cedar tree. Green slate, plum-coloured slate chippings and a water feature are the only other elements used in the garden to complement the planting.
