Designed by BBC Radio Cornwall listener Louise Todd, who won a competition to plan a garden inspired by and celebrating all things Cornish, the plants and features demonstrate the unique essence of Cornwall.
A central wall constructed from Cornish stone and granite posts, and a seating area with a spiral set into gravel, emphasise the strong links between the landscape and the history of Cornwall.
The planting shows the unusual range grown in the county's warm climate. The 'jungle style' plants are typically found in many Cornish gardens open to the public. The Celtic, traditional and modern elements of the garden illustrate the diversity and richness of contemporary culture that can be found in the county.
