We are surrounded by advertising - from those on massive hoardings down to those printed on the back of car parking tickets. Some are blatant, others are subliminal. The garden need be no exception.

In this example inspired by aerial images a pool echoes a famous logo. Materials are reclaimed and rustic to contrast with the extremely hi-tech product that the garden represents. Two text panels can be viewed in the garden, the one conveyed by a text box and another that will be the same - but different. Puzzled? All is revealed at the show…

Steven Wooster started his career in book design where he worked as an art director working on informational and coffee table books on a series of subjects from sports to interior design. He began to photograph gardens after working on books with some of the gardening world’s ‘big names’ - John Brookes, Beth Chatto, Anthony Paul and the late Christopher Lloyd. Steven had concentrated solely on garden photography for a number of years, although more recently he has taken a course in garden design and has a display garden at one of the UK’s major design schools. Currently, he combines three careers of photography, book design and garden design.
