This garden is designed to remind visitors that coffee is a plant product and that moderate consumption of four to five cups per day is perfectly safe and may offer some health benefits. Designer Alan Gardner is a keen coffee drinker and wanted to make sure that visitors to the garden felt both relaxed and uplifted by this representation of one of the nation’s favourite beverages.

The stones and plants have been specifically chosen to illustrate the rich textures and colours associated with coffee. The ‘steam’ and the ‘swirl’ draw the visitor in, making their visit to Revive an invigorating experience. The garden is awash with texture including a flintstone path, ornamental grasses, granite cobbles representing coffee beans and a Fibonacci golden spiral. The colour scheme is rich in warm coffee browns and creams.

Alan Gardner has been designing show gardens for many years and has achieved medals at the RHS flower shows at Chelsea and Hampton Court, striking gold with Most Creative Garden at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park.
