Ever seen an amazing showcase garden and wondered how on earth something like that would work for your family?
This design demonstrates how it can be done – how a typical family could create a simple, yet smart and stylish garden, with all the practical features they need in the real world, and where everyone is catered for. A large lawn, water and hard landscaping combine to create a variety of spaces for the grown-ups to relax and for the kids to play, a barbecue area for entertaining and tables for the family to sit and eat.
The garden accommodates all the day-to-day outdoor necessities that are often overlooked in many showcase gardens, such as a laundry line, a shed and compost bins. All the plants in this garden are readily available and easy to look after.
The garden is in partnership with The Teddington Water Company, providers of domestic irrigation solutions, including the recycling of grey water from washing machines and bathrooms, which can allow the garden to flourish even during hosepipe bans.
